The Chinese Government attaches great importance to the work of the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf and the involvement of developing countries as well. In March 2007, China made a contribution of twenty thousand US dollars to the Voluntary Trust Fund established in accordance with the General Assembly Resolution 55/7 for the purpose of defraying the cost of participation of the members of the Commission from developing States in the meetings of the Commission.
