Mr. Chair, China has always maintained that differences in the field of human rights should be addressed through constructive dialogue and cooperation based on equality and mutual respect. It is a principled position of China to oppose country-specific resolutions on human rights. This draft resolution before us also clearly goes beyond the mandate of the Third Committee of General Assembly. In this regards, China will vote against the draft resolution L.42. Thank you, Chair. |
