On February 18, 2009, about 40 UN interns from some 20 countries visited the Chinese Mission. Deputy Representative Ambassador Liu Zhenmin met and took photos with them. For over an hour, diplomats from the Mission exchanged views with them on a spectrum of issues such as Security Council reform, Northeast Asian security mechanism, the DPRK nuclear issue, UN scale of assessments, fighting piracy off the Somali coast, China's soft power and multilateral diplomacy, and climate change.
