Reception Held to Mark the 63rd Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China

Ambassador Li Baodong and Mrs. Lu Hailin hosted a reception on the evening of 27 September 2012 at the Chinese Permanent Mission to the United Nations to mark the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Over 500 people including high-ranking UN officials, ambassadors and diplomatic envoys, representatives of overseas Chinese and friends from the media attended the reception.

While offering their congratulations on the occasion, guests also expressed admiration for the huge achievements China has made over the years.

 

They said that China is a very important member of the United Nations who has made important contribution to all UN endeavors. As one of the permanent members of the UN Security Council, China has played a constructive and active role in preserving world peace and security.

Overseas Chinese all expressed their pride in their motherland and wished China greater prosperity and development.
