On December 12, Ambassador Zhang Jun met with Ambassador José Luis Rocha, Permanent Representative of Cape Verde to the United Nations. The two sides exchanged views on China-Cape Verde relations and cooperation between the two countries at the United Nations.

Ambassador Zhang Jun said that China and Cape Verde enjoy traditional friendship. China is willing to further enhance coordination and cooperation with Cape Verde to uphold multilateralism and safeguard the common interests of China-Africa and other developing countries.

Ambassador Rocha said China is the true friend and good partner of Africa, Cape Verde attaches importance to China's role in international affairs, and stands ready to strengthen coordination and cooperation with China to enrich connotations of bilateral ties.
