On February 17, Ambassador Zhang Jun, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations, met with Ambassador Ronaldo Costa, Permanent Representative of Brazil. They exchanged views on China-Brazil relations and the work of the United Nations.

Zhang said that China and Brazil are both emerging markets and big developing countries. China is ready to strengthen cooperation with Brazil in the United Nations, jointly uphold multilateralism, and safeguard the common interests of developing countries.

Costa said that Brazil values its relations with China and stands ready to strengthen communication and cooperation with China in the United Nations and promote greater development of bilateral relations.
