On March 4, Ambassador Zhang Jun met with Ambassador Gustavo Zlauvinen, Deputy Foreign Minister of Argentina and President-designate of the 2020 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). Ambassador Gustavo Zlauvinen gave an introduction on the preparation for the NPT Review Conference, and emphasized that China’s support and cooperation is of vital importance to the success of the conference. Ambassador Zhang laid out China’s stance and position on the NPT review process, and said that China will support Ambassador Gustavo Zlauvinen in performing his duty and work with all parties for a successful NPT Review Conference by pursuing multilateralism and enhancing mutual trust and cooperation.
