On January 31, Ambassador Zhang Jun met with Ambassador Rabab Fatima, Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations. The two sides exchanged views on China-Bangladesh relations and cooperation between the two countries at the United Nations.

Ambassador Zhang Jun said that China and Bangladesh are good neighbors and friends, committed to healthy and vigorous development of bilateral relations. It is hoped that the two permanent missions will strengthen communication and coordination, continue to support each other, and work together to safeguard the common rights and interests of developing countries.

Ambassador Fatima said that China is a true friend and reliable partner of Bangladesh, commended China for speaking up in the United Nations and Security Council for developing countries, and expressed her willingness to further deepen coordination and cooperation with China on UN affairs.
