Ambassador Wang Min, China’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, chaired a Security Council meeting on 12 June in the capacity of President of the Security Council for the month of June. The meeting heard the report of Mr. Roger Meece, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in the Democratic Republic of Congo, on the current situation in the DRC. The Council then held an informal consultation and exchanged views on the situation in that country.
