Ambassador Wang Min, China’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, issued a press statement in the capacity of the President of the Security Council for the month of June on 20 June. Ambassador Wang stated that the Security Council welcomed greater cooperation between Iraq and Kuwait in a joint effort to solve the issue of the missing Kuwaiti and third country nationals as well as Kuwaiti property. He said the Council supported the extension of the terms of office of SG High-level Coordinator for a further period of six months.
