Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei announced that Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, as head of the Chinese delegation, will attend and address the General Debate of the 67th Session of the UN General Assembly to be held in late September at the UN headquarters in New York. He said that Foreign Minister Yang will take that opportunity to expound on China's stance and propositions on the current international situation and major regional and world issues, and outline the vigorous and constructive efforts China has made to preserve world peace,promote common development and strengthen international cooperation.
