Deputy Permanent Representative of China to United Nations Ambassador Geng Shuang Presented Credentials to UN Secretariat

On 7 July, Ambassador Geng Shuang presented his credentials to the United Nations Secretariat and officially started his tenure as Deputy Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations.

 

Biography of Ambassador GENG Shuang:

 

H.E. Mr. GENG Shuang, born in 1973 in Beijing, graduated with a Master's degree.

1995-1999 Staff member, Attaché, Department of International Organizations and Conferences, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

1999-2003 Attaché, Third Secretary, Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations

2003-2011 Third Secretary, Deputy Division Director, Division Director, Counsellor, Department of International Organizations and Conferences, Ministry of Foreign Affairs  ( 2005.9-2006.5 the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy of Tufts University, Master of Arts in international relations )

2011-2015 Counsellor, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the United States of America

2015-2016 Counsellor, Deputy Director General, Department of International Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

2016-2020 Spokesman and Deputy Director General, Department of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

2020- Deputy Permanent Representative and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations

He is married with a daughter.
