Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan is to arrive today (September 10) at New York, leading a Chinese delegation to attend the 57th regular session of the UN General Assembly.

During his stay here from September 11th to 16th, the Foreign Minister will deliver a statement at the general debate of the General Assembly.  He will attend the Commemorative Meeting for 9.11 of the Security Council. He will also attend the High-Level Ad Hoc meeting on Afghanistan and the High-Level Plenary meeting of the G.A. to Consider How to Support the NEPAD. He will meet with the UN Secretary-General, the President of the General Assembly and other Heads of Delegations of a number of other countries.
