Yang Jiechi Meets with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary

On November 30, 2016, State Councilor Yang Jiechi met at Zhongnanhai with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto of Hungary.

Yang Jiechi expressed that China-Hungary relations have maintained stable development since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relationship. The Chinese side is willing to make joint efforts with Hungary to constantly strengthen the docking of development strategies, tap bilateral cooperation potential within the "Belt and Road" framework and deepen exchanges and cooperation in such areas as economy, trade, finance, culture, education and tourism in a bid to elevate China-Hungary friendly cooperative partnership, cooperation between China and Central Eastern European countries (CEEC) as well as China-EU relations to new levels.

Peter Szijjarto spoke positively of Hungary-China relations, and said that the country will continue to push forward bilateral practical cooperation in various fields and people-to-people and cultural exchanges and actively participate in the "Belt and Road" construction and CEEC-China cooperation.
