On December 15, 2016, State Councilor Yang Jiechi met with Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong of Cambodia.

Yang Jiechi said that China-Cambodia relations have achieved substantial development this year. In particular, President Xi Jinping’s visit to Cambodia was a complete success, which elevates China-Cambodia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to a new high. Regarding Cambodia as a good neighbor, good friend, good brother and good partner, the Chinese side is willing to, together with Cambodia, well implement the outcomes of President Xi Jinping’s visit to Cambodia, deepen China-Cambodia all-round cooperation, and boost Cambodia’s economic and social development, so as to bring tangible benefits to the two peoples.

Hor Namhong said that cherishing Cambodia-China traditional friendship, the Cambodian side sincerely thanks China for its support in Cambodia’s development cause, and is willing to work with China to jointly push for the continuous development of Cambodia-China relations.
