On the morning of February 9, 2018, Premier Li Keqiang met at Ziguangge of Zhongnanhai with Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi of Indonesia, who was in China for an official visit.

Li Keqiang noted that as major developing countries and neighboring countries across the sea, China and Indonesia share broad common interests in safeguarding regional peace and promoting common development. Both countries enjoy high economic complementarities and huge potential in economic and trade cooperation. Attaching great importance to developing relations with Indonesia, China is willing to intensify high-level exchanges with Indonesia, better integrate the Belt and Road Initiative with Indonesia's development strategy and push for more results in cooperation in key fields including infrastructure construction, so as to inject fresh impetus to the development of China-Indonesia relations.

Li Keqiang stressed that China is willing to take the 15th anniversary of the establishment of China-ASEAN strategic partnership as an opportunity to work with all partners of ASEAN including Indonesia, in a bid to elevate China-ASEAN relations to new levels and make contributions to regional peace, stability, development and prosperity.

Retno Marsudi said that Indonesia-China relations have made substantial progress with fruitful cooperation achievements. Indonesia stands ready to, together with China, reinforce high-level exchanges, expand economic and trade cooperation, deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges and advance the construction of Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway. Indonesia welcomes China to take an active part in the construction of Indonesia's three economic corridors in North Sulawesi, North Sumatra and North Kalimantan.
