Chinese Embassy in the DPRK and Task Force of the Foreign Ministry Actively Carry out Work

The task force of the Foreign Ministry accompanied by 5 state-level medical experts actively assisted the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in carrying out rescue operations, medical treatment and follow-up arrangements together with the Chinese Embassy in the DPRK upon their arrival in Pyongyang, capital of the DPRK. On that afternoon, they jointly went to the Pyongyang Friendship Hospital with the staff at the Embassy to visit and send condolences to the two injured Chinese compatriots, learned in detail about the treatment situation from the DPRK side and communicated with principal of the local travel agency of the DPRK side on the follow-up work.

Medical experts of the Chinese side immediately held joint consultations with the DPRK medical personnel and established a 24-hour joint patrol medical service mechanism to make sure that both sides could communicate with each other in a timely-manner, jointly study and judge the conditions of the injured as well as scientifically make treatment plans in the next stage.

The Embassy and the task force also went to the temporary site of the remains of the deceased compatriots many times, carefully verified their identities and paid condolences to the deceased compatriots.
