On November 22, 2022, President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolence to Indonesian President Joko Widodo over a deadly earthquake jolting Indonesia.

President Xi said that he is shocked to learn of the earthquake hitting Indonesia and the heavy casualties and property losses.
