The fourth round of Six-Party Talks on the Korean Peninsular nuclear issue is scheduled to be held in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on July 26, which has drawn high attention from domestic and international media. Several hundreds of Chinese and foreign journalists have registered for making interviews. As the host country, China, following the practice of the previous three rounds of Talks, will set up a press center at the Diaoyutai Hotel which is close to the venue where the Talks take place to release information about the Talks and take telephone enquiries. The center starts operation on the morning of July 25 and the daily open time is from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Offering offices and lounges to the journalists and a press conference room with a holding capacity of over 300 people, the center aims at meeting the needs of journalists and providing them with personalized services. The offices are equipped with computers, printers, copy machines, telephone and TV sets and provide Internet, fax and copy services for free, and the lounges provide free tea, refreshment and drink for the journalists. The staffs of the Information Department are available for 12 hours to answer telephone enquiries and will release information about the organizational affairs at appropriate time.

There will be altogether over 300 Chinese journalists and China-based foreign journalists participating in the interviews during this round of Talks. In addition, over 200 foreign journalists will come to China for temporary interviews, including 93 from Japan, 81 from the ROK, 14 from the United States, 9 from Russia and 7 from other countries. The total number of journalists will exceed 500.
