The second phase of the fourth round of six-party talks in Beijing entered into the second day on September 14, 2005. The various parties conducted frequent bilateral contacts.

China and Russia, China and the US, the DPRK and the US, the DPRK and Japan, the ROK and Russia, the ROK and Japan, Russia and Japan, and Russia and the US conducted bilateral consultations in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse respectively for in-depth discussions on the key issues involved in this round of talks. They also expounded their respective positions and put forward their own suggestions and plans on how to narrow the existing differences.
