On June 4, Ambassador Li Baodong, Permanent Representative of Ambassador Li briefed on the Program of Work of the Security Council for the month of June. He said that the Council would have a tight schedule this month and its work would involve nearly 30 agenda items, mainly including Syria, Sudan and South Sudan, Guinea Bissau, Afghanistan, the Middle East, the DRC, the Central African Republic, Iraq and Kuwait. Ambassador Li said that the Security Council would also hold an open debate on protection of civilians in armed conflict and have consultations with the Peace and Security Council of the African Union.
