Ambassador Li Baodong Briefs UN Member States on the Program of Work of the Security Council for June

On June 4, Ambassador Li Baodong, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations and rotating President of the UN Security Council in June briefed Member States of the United Nations on the Program of Work of the Security Council for the month of June. More than 60 representatives from the UN missions attended the briefing. 

Ambassador Li briefed on the work of the Council in June and answered questions from the relevant Member States on Syria, Yemen and protection of civilians in armed conflict.

Ambassador Li emphasized that China is ready to strengthen cooperation with other members of the Security Council, Member States of the UN and the Secretariat and maintain communication with the General Assembly and other main UN organs and agencies, so as to ensure the smooth operation of the Security Council in June.
