China thanks Secretary-General Guterres and you for the remarks and hard work. In the year 2025, against the backdrop of continuing geopolitical conflicts and frequent natural disasters, the global humanitarian situation has continued to deteriorate, and humanitarian needs have continued to increase. The important role of CERF in providing emergency relief and saving lives has become ever more prominent.

China has consistently supported the United Nations in playing a coordinating role in international humanitarian relief and the work of CERF. Since 2007, China has made voluntary contributions to the Fund annually. The 2025 contribution has already been disbursed, and contributions will continue in 2026.

China has long provided humanitarian assistance to countries in need through multilateral and bilateral channels in various forms. Recently, President Xi Jinping announced that China will provide 100 million US dollars in aid to Palestine to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and support Gaza's recovery and reconstruction. In 2025, China provided multiple batches of emergency aid, in the form of supplies and cash, to countries including Myanmar, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and other countries, which are affected by natural disasters. 

China also offered manpower and technical support through the dispatch of rescue teams and the provision of satellite services. 

Going forward, China will continue to uphold the concept of “A Global Community of Shared Future”, and work with the international community to support and assist countries and people in need in responding to humanitarian crises and overcoming humanitarian difficulties.
