Chinese Mission to the UN Hosts Reception Celebrating the 76th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China

On the evening of September 29, the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations hosted a reception to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Permanent Representative of China to the UN Ambassador Fu Cong, together with his wife, as well as Deputy Permanent Representatives Ambassador Geng Shuang and Ambassador Sun Lei gathered with more than 300 guests, including senior UN officials, permanent representatives from over 100 countries, and friends from all walks of life, to celebrate China's National Day.

In his remarks, Ambassador Fu said that over the past 76 years, China has traveled an extraordinary journey. Today, the nation is moving forward on an irreversible path towards its great rejuvenation. China's rapid development stems from the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the unremitting efforts of generations of Chinese people.

Ambassador Fu emphasized that China is a reliable partner of international cooperation, demonstrating through concrete actions its strong sense of responsibility as a major country. China actively advances the four global initiatives, firmly upholds the central role of the United Nations, and will continue to serve as a pillar of the multilateral system, speaks up for the Global South, and bringing greater stability and certainty into the world. China stands ready to deepen cooperation with all countries under the banner of the United Nations, and work together towards a community with a shared future for humanity and a better world for all.

Several senior UN officials and permanent representatives gave interviews to extend festive greetings to the Chinese government and people, wishing China even greater achievements in its development. Guests spoke highly of China's contributions to world peace and development, and expressed their hopes to further deepen cooperation with China within the UN framework.

The reception was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Guests toured a photo exhibition showcasing the 10-year achievements of the China-UN Peace and Development Fund, watched promotional videos such as Beautiful China, savored traditional Chinese cuisine, and engaged in lively discussions on friendship and cooperation.
