Yang Jiechi said that in recent years, China and Singapore have maintained close high-level exchanges and achieved fruitful results in practical cooperation. We should well implement the consensus reached by leaders of the two countries, take the opportunity of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China-Singapore diplomatic relations next year, give full play to the role of bilateral cooperation mechanism, and seize the opportunity of jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative to promote common development. The world today faces many challenges. The Chinese side is ready to work with the Singaporean side to uphold multilateralism and jointly build an open world economy.

Heng Swee Keat expressed that the Singaporean side admires the great achievements the People's Republic of China has made over the past 70 years since its founding, and stands ready to work with the Chinese side to deepen cooperation across the board and jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative to push Singapore-China relations for in-depth development.
