On March 8, Ambassador Li Baodong, Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for March, chaired a Security Council informal consultation, in which Council members were briefed by Mr. Lynn Pascoe, UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, on his visit to the Middle East and Africa and the situation in these regions.
